For everyone interested in this wonderful opportunity here at Corpus Christi, you will be able to see the schedule at a glance here below. The Grade School program (1^st-5^th) with be Monday – Friday, whereas the Middle School/High School Program (6^th-12^th) is Sunday – Thursday.

For one individual child it is $25 and for a family it is $50.

You may pay in cash or check and bring into the office from 8:00am-3:50pm OR write your check and clearly mark it for Totus Tuus to put in the offertory basket at Mass.

Our Mission:

To gather college students and seminarians into teaching teams, and train them in service to God, drawing them closer to Our Lord through prayer, devotion, knowledge, and Christian formation.

To send these teaching teams to inflame the hearts and minds of children and young adults by inspiring in the youth a true longing for holiness, a deep desire for conversion, and by empowering them to become Christian leaders by dedicating their lives totally to God in imitation of the motto of Pope St. John Paul II, “Totus Tuus Maria” (Totally Yours, Mary).

To impart an understanding of the Catholic Faith and an ongoing change of heart in all the youth of Totus Tuus through faithful catechesis.

Our Motivation:

Pope St. John Paul II’s motto is taken from St. Louis de Montfort’s True Devotion to Mary, and it signifies our desire to give ourselves entirely to Jesus through Mary. It also expresses our effort to give our all to every person we encounter. Through the teachers’ examples of joy and service, the youth see that these young men and women are ON FIRE with the love of God and the Catholic Faith, and long to spread that fire to them.

Our Method:

Totus Tuus programs exist in dioceses throughout the country. Each program is run independently. Totus Tuus Pueblo calls upon college students and diocesan seminarians to work in tandem to carry this mission to every person they encounter in the parish program. In hiring our teachers, we look for a true love of God, faith, energy, and enthusiasm. We also look for a commitment to spiritual growth, teamwork skills, and a desire to serve the youth. Teachers are formed into teams of four, two men and two women, and bring the program to different parishes each week for 8 weeks during the summer. At the parish, they conduct a week-long “parish mission,” teaching and inspiring the parish’s children and teenagers. 

 

 

This year the Pueblo Diocese has offered to bring Totus Tuus to our Parish! Corpus Christi has benefited from the faith filled hearts that the Holy Spirit has inspired in the leaders within the Totus Tuus program for years. If your child has not tried this program out yet, this is their year! We accept grades 1st-5th for the Grade School Program from 9:00 am-2:30 pm and 6th-12th grade for the Middle/High School Program from 7:00-9:00 pm. This takes place from June 6th-10th.

PSR Sunday School End of Year Party Christ is Risen!! And after a long and successful year, we are ready to celebrate! April 24th from the regular 9:30-10:45AM meeting time at the Corpus Christi  School we will have our End of Year Party! Safe Environment Training

Good Afternoon Parents and Guardians,

Every year, the Diocese of Colorado Springs Bishop's Charter mandates that all parish ministries (Religious Ed, Youth Ministry, Altar Servers, etc.) or parish-chartered organizations (Trail Life, Cub Scouts, AHG) that involve youth, provide one annual Safe Environment Training for our students that are in grade levels preK through High School. 

As we did last year, we will continue to use the Empowering God's Children training program in VIRTUS. We will return to presenting the training in person this year.

This Safe Environment Training will be February 13th, 2022 during their regular Sunday School time of 9:30am at your child's regular meeting room and it should only take up a portion of class time.

If there are any parents who would like their child to opt out, parents must physically sign the bottom of the opt out form (attached below) and bring it back to me. An email from the parent or guardian stating they do not want their child to participate is NOT considered sufficient documentation.  Any children who opted out, but are still attending the group's meeting on that day will be separated from the group during the lesson/presentation with an alternative activity for them to do.
